Chateau Liversan is located less than 10 minutes west from the famous Mouton-Rothschild in nearby Saint-Saveur. This Chateau was built in 1850, and has been classified Cru Bourgeois in 1932. It is currently owned by Jean-Michel Lapalu, and is one of the jewels of his Bordeaux collection.
The wine is usually a blend of 50/50 Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Sometimes a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot get thrown in. The wine has been aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
