Decelle-Villa is a 5 year-old partnership between two of France’s best know wine makers, dedicated to the production of high quality Burgundy wines. Olivier Decelle is best know for his sweet Maury wines of Mas Amiel in the Roussillon, and his Saint-Emilion property Jean Faure. Pierre-Jean VIlla is the ex-director of the successful Rhone project-Vin de Viennes, and is currently making wine in the Northern Rhone under his own name.
Together they teamed up to make Burgundy wines using a recently purchased old cellar in Nuits St Georges. They hired a local wine-maker named Jean Lupitelli to supervise production. They own some vignes, and are currently looking to buy more, but otherwise have entered into contracts with excellent growers in various appellations. Below is a list of some of their best wines made from the limited 2012 vintage. Soils are farmed organically/biodynamically.
