The BEGERE family have been growers of Champagne Vineyards for several generations. 1949 was the first year that they bottled their own wines, hence creating the brand A. BERGERE. There has always been a family member with the first initial of A to continue the heritage. Since 1986 Andre and his wife have been running the estate, and have been joined by their children Annaelle and Adrien.
Their grapes are mostly grown in Ferebrianges, Etoges, and Cogny, all in the Epernay region. Their cuvee GRAND CRU BLANCS de BLANC is 100% Chardonnay sourced from vineyards in the famous town of Avize. After many years of tasting their wines in France, I have finally been able to procure a small amount for the American market. This is the first time EVER, that their wines have been imported into the U.S.
