Domaine des Maillettes is owned by Guy and Annie Saumaize, who run this 13 hectare estate that was founded in 1981. The cave is located in Davaye, where wines from Macon-Villages, Macon-Davaye, Saint-Veran, and Pouilly-Fuisse are produced.
Guy is also a pepinieriste – a grower of young vines/grafts which he is specializes in matching the right grafts to the right soil type. The wines always have vivid fruit and excellent concentration. Sadly Guy passed away this past May, But his son Guillaume continues the family tradition.
